Information is continually being sought and added to this website. Businesses have come to be on this site by invitation from cold call visiting (often while shopping) and phone calls (often after collecting businesses cards or flyers while shopping, or reading about a business), through word of mouth, by visiting our stands at expos and fairs, through Council communications, recommendations from other parents of businesses and suggestions emailed or submitted via our Contact page. Businesses also find Children's Guide by conducting their own research. Some businesses have included substantial information as well as logos or advertising, while others preferred to provide only basic contact details or declined our invitation to register.

MMSE does not buy marketing lists or business lists, we do not SPAM or fax broadcast.

MMSE accepts information from suitable businesses and organisations in good faith, and endeavours to ensure that the material contained throughout this site is correct and relevant at the time of inclusion, however, information may not be current at the time the site is accessed.

MMSE does not make any endorsement, judgment or exclusion of any business or subscriber on basis of gender, race, ethnicity, political, religious, philosophical, environmental, professional, trade or trade union aims, beliefs or associations. MMSE reserves the right to refuse registration from any non-child or family related business. MMSE reserves the right to reject graphics, descriptions or advertisements for products or services that breach advertising industry codes.

No judgment has been made as to which information or organisations are more important than others as this will be different for each family. Businesses in all categories and all areas are listed alphabetically first by advertiser, followed alphabetically by businesses who have registered and included their logo, then alphabetically by businesses who have registered without their logo, and finally public information details (not bound by copyright, trademark or intellectual property laws) of other businesses which other parents have let us know about or that we've come across. These businesses are advised of their inclusion and invited to register additional information.
